Canning takes a lot of time and energy. Now I know why people spend all day preserving food. And why there weren’t too many dual income families during the olden times; food preservation is a full-time job.

After an evening of cooking, sterilizing and canning I ended up with three jars of tomato sauce and three jars of peach-applesauce.
