Southern Utah Trip Itinerary
Because the weather, road conditions, and closures can’t be predicted, we will need to be flexible and willing to go with the flow. Some of these activities may change, but the trip will be a blast. You can’t go wrong in Kanab Country!
Day 1 (Saturday) Arrive in St. George, Utah
Arrive any time on Saturday and Uber/Lyft to the hotel. We’ll catch the sunset on a short hike through the red rocks and have dinner together.
Day 2-4 (Sunday – Tues) Adventuring in the Red Rocks
Activities include:
Hiking. There is no better way to experience Utah’s spectacular red rocks than on foot! We’ll wander through slot canyons, among surreal hoodoos, and over petrified sand dunes. None of the hikes are difficult, but we will be outside most of the day.
Canyoneering. We will don harnesses and helmets to climb and rappel down a real-life board game of Chutes and Ladders. Professional climbing guides will make sure we are safe and fully instruct us on the process. No experience needed.
Stargazing. Kanab’s dark skies cannot be missed, so one night we’ll meet up with an astronomer and gaze at the night sky through telescopes, binoculars, and our naked eyes. We’ll learn about the science and stories of the night sky.
Puzzles and Games. We will gather around the great room to piece together puzzles and play games.
Comraderie: Sharing moments of awe and excitement creates lasting memories. There’s no doubt that this women’s group trip will be a transformative experience woven with friendship, shared laughter, and the thrill of discovering the world in unison.
Day 5 (Wednesday) Departure
Catch the sunrise over the Coral Pink Sand Dunes on our way to St. George. Book your departure tickets for after 12 pm on Wednesday. I will drop you off at the airport by 10 am. If you want to get a ride with me back to SLC, I will get to the airport about 4 pm.
